As always, it’s 100% Falanghina made all in tank with a just-right touch of lees contact. The 2022 edition serves up bold, expressive, scents of ripe apple, nectarine, mid-summer honeysuckle and ripe Meyer lemon. The flavors are generous and complex, too, with notes of pear and peach orchard fruit complemented by fresh orange and yellow citrus and salty stone mineral flavors. But what really makes this so fantastic zest and zing – entering with rapier-like focus and driving the flavors all the way to the back of your palate and propelling a long, mouthwateringly, salty/citric finish. A terrific seafood and solo sipping wine, for sure, but try it with basil-flecked Pizza Margherita for very special treat!
